Flute Ting (Konka Remix)

When I was asked to pick a song to remix for this release, I was drawn to the flute sample that Slaine used in his original. I felt I could really run with that motif for a remix. It was a short deadline, but all in all I’m really happy with how this one turned out.

Konka’s remix of Slaine’s “Flute Ting” is built around the track’s iconic flute sample, weaving it through a completely reimagined foundation of rolling reece basses that dominate the mid texture and give the rework its dark, brooding identity. Triplet percussion drives the arrangement forward with relentless momentum, locking the familiar melodic element into something altogether more menacing. The second drop takes that triplet focus and escalates it, unleashing rolling kicks that push the track to its peak intensity, a thunderous payoff that rewards the patience of the build. This remix is familiar yet utterly transformed.
